Plain beeswax is good for the styluses which are heated in a candle flame. The stylus heated in a candle flame will turn the beeswax dark.
Dark beeswax is easier to see on white egg shells. Good for electric stylus. (Dye is added)
Use white beeswax when you work on a very dark surface (emu eggs, or eggs to be bleached). Only for electric stylus. (Dye is added)
